County Ready Mix recently donated ready-mix concrete to construct a pair of baseball batting cages at Marathon High School. The project was initiated by Derek Vesley, a Marathon High School Student, to earn his Eagle Scout ranking in Boy Scouts.
Vesley coordinated this batting cage project to replace the old ones that had outlived their use. He was excited to use the new cages along with his fellow Red Raider baseball teammates during his senior year. He said, “By constructing these cages, I am hoping to not only ensure the safety of the users and any
bystanders but to also allow a better facility for those who want to train on their own time and encourage more students to play the game of baseball.”
County Ready Mix values opportunities to donate our products to local projects like this one. Through the Sonnentag American Foundation, we support organizations and causes that strengthen the communities where we have locations.
