Ready-Mix Concrete Creates Recreational Courtyard for the Boys & Girls Club

The Boys & Girls Club of Portage County exists to enrich and transform the lives of young people in their community. This project transformed the outdoor space surrounding their facility into a stunning courtyard for the kids to enjoy.

This project maximized the advantages of County Ready Mix’s colored and stamped concrete. Ready-mix in different colors and textures was used to create distinct spaces for the kids to enjoy gardening, chess, checkers, hopscotch, four square, and table games. The durability of concrete ensures that kids will be able to play in this courtyard for many years with minimal maintenance.

The finished project features over 6,000 SF of ready-mix concrete and provides a fun outdoor space that will serve the Boys & Girls Club in their mission to provide quality programs and services to kids in a safe, welcoming environment.

Project Highlights:

Ready-mix concrete provided the variety, flexibility, and sustainability that was needed for this project to accommodate a range of activities and age groups. It also proved ideal for the Midwest location, as concrete is able to withstand the harsh elements of a four-season climate.
