Advancing His Skills From Truck Driver to Plant Foreman: Nicholas Kremer’s Story

Nicholas Kremer is a Plant Foreman with County Ready Mix in Wisconsin Rapids who has been with our company for 20 years. Kremer started as a Ready-Mix Driver and pursued opportunities to expand his skills and take on more responsibilities through the years.

“Twenty years ago, at 20 years old, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life,” Nicholas says. “I was fortunate enough to have my CDL. I drove for a year, and then got the opportunity to work in the batch plant.”

Nicholas continued to explore the many career options at County Ready Mix by working in the shop during the winter. He gradually got more involved with supervising and leadership roles as his skills grew. His career is a testament to the success, stability, and support of our organization.

“Knowledge is something that nobody can ever take away from you. If you’re willing to grow, this company will stand behind you,” he says.

Working for a company with a reputation for excellent customer service is important to Nicholas. “When people see us on the job sites, they always compliment us on our service,” he says.

Nicholas also says he values the commitment County Ready Mix makes to giving back through the Sonnentag American Foundation. 

“They’re always looking for ways they can be involved in communities,” he says. “They try to help out where they can. I don’t think there’s a lot of companies that do that.”
